Background:

Grateful was caught by AVA contractors together with her puppy on December 2, 2013. Incidentally, one of our stray dogs also went missing on the same day. So we filed a report with AVA and notified them that should they catch our dog, we are ready and willing to redeem it. We gave the description as a brown female dog.

On December 3, AVA called us and informed us they have indeed caught “our dog” and its little puppy. We rushed down without delay. Paperwork and payment were completed as fast as we could. Then came the surprise … Voila! There stood in front of us a brown dog who is not the one we came to redeem!

To be fair, after we told AVA that Grateful is not “our dog”, we were given a choice: Go ahead to redeem or they can process a refund.

But how to have the heart to choose the option of refund? It is two dogs’ lives at stake – an adult mummy and its two month old puppy. Both of them were wagging their tails and looking at you with the expression, “So now, can we go home … please?”

Personality:

In terms of interaction with humans, Grateful is overly friendly even to new faces. She greets you enthusiastically with jumps. Some people like it while other hate it, so it is really dependent on what type of dog’s character you are looking for. Most of the time, she walks well on leash and does not pull. She also listens when scolded and she only does her business during walks.

Special Needs:

When she is eating her food, do not take it away or let another dog near her - protective over food and toy.
